Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledges that we organize, work, live, and build community on the traditional homelands of the Blackfoot Confederacy: the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani; their Treaty 7 cosignatories: the Tsuut’ina and Îyâxe Nakoda Nations; the Métis (MNA Districts 5 and 6) and those who call Calgary (Moh'kinstsis) home. We recognize that we are on Indigenous homelands and express our gratitude and appreciation for the Indigenous people who live here and have shared their knowledge. We are committed to taking action on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s 94 Calls to Action (2015) and the Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls: Reclaiming Power and Place (2019).
